New Product View

At Garnet, we have redesigned how the product approval works that will significantly improve the marketplace and vendor journey.

Get started

To test the new product beta without disrupting your vendor's journey. Select Enable the new product view (recommended) in Garnet > Admin Panel > Features.

To completly replace the old product view to the new one: select both options Enable the new product view (recommended) and Remove the old product view (recommended).

Overview

The old way

With the old way, marketplace had to:

• Approve every product to have them live
• Approve every update (except for price and stock)
• Products in draft or archived were marked as Out-of-stock

This resulted in a lot of products pending for approval and sometime the information will not be up to date. The vendor would reach to the marketplace to approve the update.

The new way

• The marketplace approves products only once.
• There is only one view showing the product
• Pending for approval = Draft product
• Approved = Active product
• Product not in garnet = Archived product

Submissions are now draft products

Before, product were Garnet's internal information. Now they actually are products in Shopify created in draft mode. This feature enabled the marketplace to:

• Build automations on top of draft products,
• Approve products from Shopify: move them from draftto active,
• Product approval is 7x faster.
